From the Back Cover When the Dubois investigation turns up an unexpected connection to the Russian mob, Luna finds herself heading down a terrifying path of no return Soon she is held captive by the very evil she hunts one that reaches far across the borders of Nocturne City to the seedy brothels of Europe and beyond Now, with street smarts, seduction, and a sixth sense for danger as her only weapons, Luna will enlist the help of her former lover Dmitri who has his own reasons for bringing down [...]

    2. I did not even notice until finished that the book blurb for this book was actually the back cover blurb for Witchcraft, that is one of the things I learned Means am not very observant I guess Luna Wilder has outdone herself in this story, she manages to somehow come out alive again despite all the odds against her I truly believe at this point that if it were up to me, I think she would be a goner in the first few pages I have somehow lost most of my earlier empathy for the character, read the [...]

    3. I did really enjoy this as Luna is AWESOME I m not sure if this is the last one it was left kind of open Still 4 s from me

    4. First, the good news I was into the story throughout the whole book and was never bored or lost Now for the other stuff.I normally don t have the time to get very specific in my reviews and just share my general impressions, but there were a few things I just couldn t let go First, Luna starts off really unlikeable and doesn t get a whole lot better even though it s easy to root for her kicking bad guy ass They are really bad guys Within the first 7 pages she has stiffed a guy on a tip and sized [...]

    5. Daemon s Mark takes you on another wild ride with Insoli Luna, Lieutenant in charge of the Supernatural Crime Squad for the Nocturne City Police Dept As always, Luna is determined to get her man after she is brought in on the homicide of Lily Dubois, a young were She always has a tendency to act first, think later But, she s always had her team and those that care about her to help her out of any situations she gets herself into This time, charging in takes her to a place where only one person c [...]

    6. So I m only a few pages in but a were girl is dead and missing her heart, so she asks what someone would want with a human heartexcept this isn t a human heart so why is that specifically what she is asking This is by far the stupidest main character ever written She escapes from the brothel in Kiev, but rather than getting it shut down she runs off after Masha, Dmitri s daughter Even if they needed to keep things quiet until she got the girl, there is NO reason they couldn t have called in the [...]

    7. Caitlin Kittredge does such an excellent job creating this mysterious, dark world with weres and witches And she creates characters that you absolutely love and some you love to hate This time around, she had me staying up late to find out what was going to happen next I was on the edge of my seat, I laughed, I cried, and I was so tense from the thrilling adventure we were taken on that it took me hours to calm down I love this series, and they just keep getting better The smart and gutsy Luna W [...]

    8. So I hear this is the last book in the series I m a little sad that now that Luna has FINALLY grown up, we won t get to read any about her I think it works pretty well as an ending, all in all It s left open though, so she could revisit the series later if she wanted I m glad I stuck with it, but also glad it s done These books wore me out

    9. Only regret , not reading the first 4 , first Interesting story, read in 1 day, didnt want to wait till 2mrw to finish it, love the drama, the story line, the charaterse romance not alot but just enough the friendships Reallllly good book.

    10. Favorite Quote My mommy didn t love me enough My daddy loved me too much I never got to be homecoming queen Take your pick When Luna Wilder is called to investigate a homicide at the docks she never expects to see a murdered 15 year old Especially not a murdered teenage were with her heart missing As Luna andthe freak Squad dig deeper they find the Russian mob, human trafficking, and fight clubs But if Luna thinks that baden she s in for a big surprise. In Catlin Kittredge s edgy PNR series Noctu [...]

    11. Daemon s Mark is the fifth and final installment in the Nocturne City novels This book can be summed up into one word for Nocturne City fans, WOW I ve been a fan of this series since page one of Night Life Luna is a kick ass, smart mouthed, troubled character, who will always try to do right for someone, even if it means hurting herself in the process Dimirti, her ex boyfriend fellow were, and Luna had a falling in book 3 Second Skin, and we didn t get to see any of him in Witch Craft book 4 She [...]

    12. Book five in the Nocturne City series by Kittredge, Daemon s Mark, was a page turner I read it one sitting Luna s life has really changed from when we first met her Luna is now a Lieutenant in charge of her own squad dealing with crimes involving supernaturals She has also been dating ATF Agent Will Fagin for six months solid, a real milestone for Luna, who hasn t had a lot of luck with boyfriends in the past Then in the middle of a date, Luna gets called down to the docks where the body of a yo [...]

    13. I have been a fan of this series since the start I really LOVED the last book I liked the growth and maturity in the character Luna She went from being self involved and obnoxious to being a very likeable character I hate doing bad reviews I have friends who are authors and my daughter is an author That said, let s talk about this bookThis story was flawed from the start It begins with a victim that you could care less about Next, you add the parents of the victim, who you are completely unable [...]

    14. I came upon this book by chance and would have dismissed it except for a favorable blurb on the cover by Jim Butcher Now while I don t think it s anywhere near Butcher s work or fit for my keeper shelf, I did enjoy it a lot and will look for the rest of the series Luna Wilder is the lieutenant in charge of Nocturne City s Supernatural Crime Squad When a young were girl s corpse is found floating by the pier, the case falls to her and immediately causes her trouble when the girl s parents, promin [...]

    15. I read this is going to be the last book of Nocturne City, at least for awhile Since this is what Ms Kittredge wrote in her blog At this time, there s no plans for Nocturne City novels If that is the case, then I m pretty satisfied with the development in Luna s life There are some parts I like and dislike The one I like the most will be 1 Luna finally makes a further step in her relationship with Will he s really good for her, I know 2 Goodbye, Dmitri, view spoiler for good hide spoiler thank [...]

    17. Luna, Luna, Luna Luna finds herself in a mess.n Luna is tasked with finding the murderer of a young female Were If that wasn t enough stress on her, the girl belonged to a wealthy family and the girl s father is the Alpha male of the community Luna finds herself abroad in this book, and not of her own free will Luna uncovers a ring of nasty criminals that work throughout the states and the European nations Just when she decides what to do with her love life she encounters her old boyfriend, Dimi [...]

    18. This series is one that I have luckily read in order I m not saying you would be totally lost if you read this one without the others first, but it would probably be harder Anyways, this book revealed the softer side of Luna She s still a rough around the edges cop and mostly a major, well you know But in this book she seems human.Having Will in her life has been a good influence She may not realize it but she is growing as a person Even if she feels like the animal inside is trying to dig its [...]

    19. I finished Daemon s Mark, the fifth and final instalment of Nocturne City series written by Caitlin Kittredge Looking back I can see that the title of the book it s perfect but I can t say that this book surprised me I already expected that ending. In the other side, I m pleased to see that Luna finally behaved like a real woman and not like a brainless werewolf She actually surprised in that department Other than that, there are better series in urban fantasy than this one I would expect another [...]

    20. Insoli Luna Wilder fights her were demon a lot She is working as a cop for CSC and is called to the scene of a murder of a young girl were whose heart has been removed Luna senses magick is involved and when she is confronted by Lily Dubois parents, she is quite taken by storm They are a very strong pack and, as she is a loner, there is the very real threat to her investigation and to her own self.Luna fights many demons in this book and it is very action packed She ends up in a brothel in Russi [...]

    21. After the just ok last book, this series is back Luna seems to have settled into her life and it has become almost normal, with the exception of turning into a were and dating an immortal man And you know what happens when life becomes blah in a book, it means that all hell is ready to break open and sure enough it does right after Luna is called to a crime. It is a seemingly normal murder, but one that puts Luna in grave danger by chasing one clue after another Luna finds herself at the mercy of [...]

    22. It took me forever to get to this book, and I m not really sure why as I have enjoyed the books in the past I was under the impression that this was the last book in the series and yet the ending seemed to be implying there were unresolved issues and that would be addressed in another book I haven t been able to find any info about it though.Anyway, this book was another great adventure for Luna and of course it was really dark and Luna got her butt kicked multiple times Luna is trying to solve [...]

    23. shudder I liked the rest of this series a lot I used to read supernatural fiction a lot, but got off it for a while It s been ages since I ve found a series that I actually liked Most of the earlier books in this series I ve found through the used book store But this one, I couldn t find So eventually I bought it Waste of money First off, the timeline in the beginning didn t mesh First they say that her body s been in the water for 12 hours Later, they say that she died around 2 30 or so and the [...]

    24. Honestly I really enjoy this series But I skipped a book, which I really need to read This is on of those that it s best to read in order You can skip around, Ms Kittredge is great at giving back up info from other books, but this is just one of those series that is better to read in order.Would love to see a LT werewolf in charge of a police force She battles control of keeping her wolf in check, but sometimes the wolf just has to have her say In this book, there is a bit of trying to keep the [...]

    25. First off, I picked this book based on the blurb on the back I quickly learned the blurb was for a different book How does that get past publishers Secondly this was one of the most boring books I have read It went so far off base that it wasn t entertaining any It started off fine enough as a mystery of who killed a young were and took her heart bit turned into a mob sex slave supernatural trafficking story and it got so far off the original story From all the good reviews I had high hopes, but [...]

    26. Still okay Liked how she s developing But Didn t like how SPOILERSSPOILERS she kept getting Deus ex Machina ed by her ex boyfriend What is that She s supposed to be a strong female able to take care of herself and is constantly being magically rescued by a male headdesk Also thought this was the end of the series, but it s not.RANDOM NOTE I don t know who in the marketing department pissed off or didn t give information to the art department, because usually when I go to the Ukraine in winter I [...]

    27. Okay, this book was quite disturbing for me Luna is being threatened by some bad ass Russian mob family that is filthy rich and of course, weres She has to find the killer of a young girl, which leads her to skin trading Eventually Luna has to turn to Dmitri for help when she has to travel to Russia Luna with her mouthy tough girl attitude seems to go back to being self destructive.Book 5 has intense action that is much darker and grittier My heart goes out for Luna I felt battered and shocked b [...]

    28. Not a fan of first person fiction, but the detective genre just fits the old stereotype, and it works A solid story that you don t need to read the first books in the series to understand Characters are memorable and distinct and the plot is interesting My only criticism is the author seems to have lost track of minor characters that are introduced Specifically at the end I would have liked to have known if any of them still lived.

    29. This book is intense Luna is super survivor mode here I didn t like the story theme too much since it involves sex slaves I m just wondering what happened to all the girls Luna kept making promises It s annoying But I m happy to see that Luna is moving on in the men department I really love this author Will there be a book 6 Sounds like in the end there s still for Luna.

    30. I was sad that this was the last of the series I really like Luna I like the world that Caitlin Kittredge came up with I had mixed feelings about this one though, I like how she brought into light the Brothels that are overseas, but I didn t like how she was weak at times But all in all I enjoyed it, and was worth the read.
