    1. My introduction to Lynne Barron came through Taming Beauty, the first book in the Dunaway s Daughters series Whilst it wasn t my favourite read ever, I did thoroughly enjoy it and was left wanting to read of the author s books Thus, I was happy to jump into Unraveling the Earl, the third Idyllwild book, when I was given a chance This I enjoyed even From that point, I knew I was doomed I wanted to read Lynne Barron books, convinced she would be giving reads that would wow Therefore, it should [...]

    2. Second Installment in Dunaway s Daughters series and set several years after the first one It may be best to read the first one in order to fully enjoy and follow the pace of this one One thing I love about this author s heroines is that they are all uniquely independent, astute, and unafraid to follow their own paths There are so charismatic if not blindingly beautiful that even the most stubborn of men tend to fall prey to their captivating charms without a second thought about their physical [...]

    3. Too smart I enjoyed this story The hints of plans and manipulations around a romance. However, I found that I was as lost as the hero sometimes The heroine is intelligent and business savvy, yet she lost me a few times The ending is triumphant and will keep me coming back to this author.Mature contentRead in KU

    4. Courting Chaos by Lynne BarronDunaway Daughters 2Dunaway is a rake and rou who even as he gets older is appealing to women With six daughters some born of his wife and some not he has his hands rather full Five of his daughters love him one does not That one who is not his fan is Hesperia Eris O Connell Harry and she wants to see Dunaway put in his place and the place she has in mind is not a good one Into this mix steps a new Viscount, Phineas Griffith He needs money to refurbish his homes, his [...]

    5. If one delights to a smart, witty heroine who marches to the beat of a different drum then Harry is the gal for you Bawdy humor, sparkling wit, and clever turns in the plot await.Courting Chaos is the second in the Dunaway s Daughters series It takes place a few years after the first book from what I gather I read this one out of order It was okay standalone, but I could see where I was missing stuff so I d recommend getting these in order if you can.Miss Harry O Connell is a bit of an enigma an [...]

    6. ARC REVIEW Book two follows five years later, which that was nicely done how Lynne casually imputed that bit of information in very nonchalant Once again Lynne has written a character I empathize with, I can look up too, hell Harry is a remarkable woman Harry wasn t looking for love she was looking for revenge, revenge against Dunway Harry is the only daughter not to openly accept Dunway as her father, she hates him she loves her sisters but despises everything else about Dunway Harry has made f [...]

    7. Lately I ve had a particular penchant for historical romance and I thoroughly enjoyed this one This is not the first time I ve read something by this author I really enjoyed the last book as well This one however, hit at my heart strings a little The thing that got to me the most was about remorse and regret, and the difference between the two We all have done things we probably shouldn t have, but that doesn t mean we should regret them Our past actions bring us to the place we are now And tha [...]

    8. The Dunaway daughters series is so much fun Ms Barron has an amazing way of incorporating subplots into her books and they keep you guessing Harry s journey in finding true love is met by many obstacles Phineas understands his obligations to his family and is torn between that and his heart.

    9. Courting Chaos by Lynne Barron is a fantastic historical romance Ms Barron has woven a twisted tale and incorporated phenomenal characters making this a book you hate to put down Harry Hesperia and Phineas story is loaded with humor, drama, spice and has so many twists and turns you re anxious to get to the end, but at the same time, hate to see the story end Or maybe I should say Harry throws so many twists into the story you hate to see it end I totally loved Harry s sass and attitude I enjoye [...]

    10. Courting Chaos is based in 1821 London Full of cheeky, fun banter between the characters I loved the lead female role she is a force of nature and has so many layers to her she s independent, confident, intelligent, does precisely as she pleases, haggles, knows a lot about a great many things, good negotiator, has connections, many schemes going on She has a routine and keeps to a jam packed schedule, that has been manageable until a near dissolute rake turns it topsy turvy Phin is desperate to [...]

    11. Having read a lot of crime fiction lately I decided it was time to mix it up genre wise for my next read and decided that a good dose of Historical romance was in order COURTING CHAOS by Lynne Barron is the second book in the Dunaway s Daughters series, but having never read the first book, this can easily be read on its own In this captivating tale, we meet Miss Hesperia Eris O Connell, also known as Harry, as she lives her organised, controlled life exactly how she likes it with the absence of [...]

    12. Courting Chaos is book 2 in the Dunaway s Daughters series I haven t read Taming Beauty book 1 so I treated Courting Chaos as a standalone novel and to be honest it read very well as a standalone but to fully appreciate this wonderful era of the early 1820 s and the whole courtship and culture I would recommend reading both books in the series.Courting Chaos is my first introduction to the work of Lynne Barron I do love a good historical romance and Lynne Barron delivered a fabulous, addictive, [...]

    13. I was provided a copy from the author in exchange for my honest reviewOpposites really do attract in this case This one is a bit slow at first, but to fully understand them you need everything that happens in this book I loved how there was so much bringing them together and they didn t know it There are many players involved and they all play an important part in everything So much happened near the end and I loved what happened with her and her father.Harry is a different woman and I loved her [...]

    14. Funny and humorous, Harry and Phin are quite a pair She is extremely independent, resourceful, and intelligent He is a rake but handsome and has a title that has been financially decimated I really loved this story The characters have lots of heart and from all walks of life The plot is interesting and it is surprising how well it weaves the story together I can hardly wait for the next book I so very highly recommend it.
