    1. I am deeply moved by this issue And I gotta say, the splash page of Robin getting hit by drone bullets is one poster perfect piece of art The quiet moments, the ones scarce with narration or dialogue are simply great to look at Not at the level of Batman and Robin 18 the Requiem issue , but still great.Suddenly, things went exponentially big and the players are in the table the Bat family, A.R.G.U.S, the Monster Men and the League of Shadows Tynion IV pulled off a spectcular first arc of the DC [...]

    2. A lot of people will probably rate this issue five stars because of the shocker that happens midway through, but having been spoiled for it I but quotation marks around that because I don t really care about spoilers , it didn t really seem all that nessicary, I get However, the ending was definitely interesting, thus I bumped it up to four stars rather than three.

    3. Yes, what a great first arc for the new rebirth Detective Comics I really liked this issue and it packed a great emotional punch The art was spot on and I hope Barrows continues drawing for this and Ferreira keeps doing the coloring This really makes me want to pick up the Night of the Monster Men arc with Nightwing, Batman, and Detective Comics that is coming out soon An outstanding ending arc to one of my favorite DC comics at the moment The first arc Rise of the Batman which are issues 1 7 of [...]

    4. Wow just Wow won t kid you the thing that they were doing with Tim I was ready to throw my tablet in anger away for it but glad i didn t and super glad I read the whole book and saw what happened with Tim this was a extremely emotional issue and while I always did say that James Tynion is a fantastic writer ,I just can t stress enough how good the art was, In a story that s relaying the various characters emotions to the event that transpired Eddy Barrows and Alvaro Martinez bought the art to li [...]

    6. Conclusion to an epic storyline that leaves us one character less I couldn t put this down and cannot wait for the joint storyline coming This issue showcases the dominance DC has with the Rebirth series over the competition.

    7. Talk about having your heart ripped out.Tragedy hits the city of Gotham and things will never be the same. For a comic to move me the way this one did is simply amazing.

    8. I recently started reading comics last month and I started with DC Comics because of the Rebirth initiative So far, the Detective Comics really gets into me, I mean, it has the right blend of good writing and artwork I already liked the first arc, delivering a good story on building the team, and makes me want to read of it I liked Batman in this because it feels like this is how Batman should be written I know I just started reading, but there s something on Tom King s writing of Batman that f [...]

    9. The climatic moment of this chapter, and the entire run of this story, hits you in the feels too much, this book proves to be an action drama about family overcoming and growing stronger, even after taking hits as hard as the one on this chapter There s a mayor player or players revealed, and a scheme not just for the weakening of the Bat Family, but the entire DCU, looming in the dark The best Batman book out on the shelves.

    10. I knew this was coming, but it effected me than I thought it would The Batman Spoiler scene was especially potent Can t wait to see the fallout.

    11. The gold effin standard of Rebirth, right now.Good lord, can this guy pull at the heart strings And the art Tells the story even in the absence of dialog.

    12. This is a masterpiece I have searched long and hard for the Batman who HAS emotions but fights through them to protect the city and the ones he loves because THAT S what makes him strong The Batman I ve only ever glimpsed in Gail Simone s Batgirl run And finally Finally Here he is The Batman I fell in love with The Batman who can make mistakes and admit it, who can be scared, whose heart can break, who can abandon his post because someone he loves is in danger, who HAS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT He s [...]

    13. Oh man I m pretty divided Tim s my favourite character, and DC s New 52 turned me off because I felt his characterisation changed He became cocky and less respectful I felt that the things I loved about him got sacrificed too often for plot points that could have been achieved in better, different ways.So I m pretty torn Detective Comics brought back a trace of that old Tim And I like the direction that the story accomplished by the end But I feel that Tim s choice to get to that point was anot [...]

    14. Ah Rebirth strikes again, using some mysterious, all powerful watcher figure to avoid actually taking a direction This was truly fantastic until that fake out robbed it of meaning Like where this leaves Batwoman, Batman and Spoiler emotionally especially that moment the latter two share and am already bitter about the issue that will eventually make them forget it I wish comics weren t so risk averse.

    15. Not enough Cass, Clay, or even Kate But, at least they didn t kill Tim That s all I really care about Stop killing Robins And his shout out including JasonI m not crying, you re crying.Slightly annoyed I have to pick up in the middle of other titles though to get what s happening in 940 Like I know that s how comics work, but still.

    16. THIS is the Batman I love, one who cares for his Robins, past and present even though he doesn t get much to do which I actually kind of like go Batwoman I never thought I d be reading and enjoying Detective Comics so much.
