    1. 2.5 starsHeiress is tall and not conventionally attractive, because of how her father always puts her down and men act toward her, she becomes very bitter towards the opposite sex Earns reputation for being a man hater.Gorgeous poor Earl needs money to rebuild estate father ruined Finds out heroine is rich and goes for her, lucky him, he finds her sassy great.Heroine s whole gender male hating and gruffness was a bit off putting and hero s genial good guy shucks was a bit hokey dokey Not a lot o [...]

    2. This is the second book in Eva Devon s Must Love Rogues series which features one of my favourite tropes a marriage of convenience.Margaret knew that it had not been a fortuitous beginning when her father had first looked upon her countenance, frowned and declared that she was ugly.Margaret grew up knowing that, in her father s eyes, she has nothing to commend her All her parents affection and attention is reserved for Isabella, her beautiful, younger sister to whom she is constantly compared an [...]

    3. Lady Margaret has accepted she s as plain as they come and she s ok with that She s in no need of a fortune and she pretty much just wants her father and sister to leave her alone William Deveraux, Earl of Carlyle, needs funds and he doesn t care who he has to marry as long as the lady in question is rich When he meets Margaret he s not put off by her cold shoulder or by her forwardness On the contrary, to him all that strength of character and bluntness was refreshing and incandescent and it ma [...]

    4. THE DECISION HAS BEEN MADE The Earl of Carlyle is gloriously handsome But poorer than a church mouse His homes are literally falling down around his ears.Lady Margaret is rich Really rich But everyone says and surely everyone is correct that she is ugly, a shrew.worthy of attention only due to the money. The decision, however, is mine.Frankly, these characters, this dialogue, may be the best Eva Devon has ever done.I read books Three, four, five a week Some I review, some I merely devour Some rom [...]

    5. This book was a nice enough piece of fluff I m not a huge fan of novellas character development truly suffers The hero heroine are painted with broad strokes We are told their backstories, but you but they still come off as somewhat one dimensional The character with the most depth of character was the friend John He is much worthy of the title rogue than the main character.

    6. Pretty good story continuation of the series If you haven t read the first, John the by blow brother does not make as much sense Margaret is an interesting character although a bit too shrill William takes a bit to get used to, but all in all this is a study of a woman who has a life plan, and is going to follow through with it William gives her the means to do so after she does a favor for him, and she has to decide if that life plan has changed with love.

    7. This is the second book in the Must Love Rogues Series Everytime Eva releases another book she surpasses my expectations I absolutely loved the heroine Margaret She might be my favorite that Eva has ever written She is a tough no nonsense kind of young lady She is no beauty, she knows this because her father and sister have told her all her adult life The only reason a man would want to marry her is for her 80,000 pound dowry She still goes to Society events because her Father forces her He has [...]

    8. For those of you who hate when the hero gets off lightly for tricking lying to the heroine, this is a story for you since William spends about 1 2 of this book trying to atone and repair the damage he did to their relationship this fits with the story and doesn t feel dragged out William desperately needs money, and Meg has a ton of it However, he also is immediately intrigued by her, but doesn t see any other option than misleading her to get the money he needs Meg has been emotionally abused b [...]

    9. Lady Margaret is infamous as the shrewish of all young ladies throughout London On the marriage market for four years Lady Margaret is rich and her determination to remain unwed is legendary She knows she s ugly compared to her sister Lady Margaret has learned men only see her for her money, she has learned to protect her heart with a cutting tongue William Deveraux, Earl of Carlyle is destitute his home is falling down around him His father, a compulsive gambler, has ruined and driven the earld [...]

    10. Engrossing historical romance, it draws you right in with Lady Margaret and the way she handles the abusive relationship she has with her father and sister You feel her pain and bewilderment, and her determination to be respected in her own right Will, the Earl of Carlyle, financially beggared by a feckless father, must marry for money to try to save the family estate and the people who depend on it Will arrives in town to search out the best prospect to suit his needs and decides Margaret the M [...]

    11. Eva Devon has done it again She has written a book that gave me all the feels and .Lady Margaret has decided to never marry She feels plain beside her beautiful younger sister She knows that her dowry is a big draw on the marriage mart She wants to be loved for herself and not her money She has also shown her disinterest in several interesting ways William, Lord Carlyle is a handsome guy and everyone seems to fall at his feet He is in dire need of funds to save his inheritance His father left th [...]

    12. An unusual heroine with strength and vulnerability is the star of this Regency novel We know the Earl of Carlyle from the first in the Must Love Rogue s books, and now it s his turn to find a wife to save him from disaster I love that he finds such an extraordinary woman who surprises him at every turn I liked that this story was not your typical historical romance It had backbone and intelligence However, as much as I found the novel refreshing, I also didn t find myself as emotionally involve [...]

    13. 14. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review Engrossing story with interesting characters, some laughs and a few surprises It s a book that begs to be read in one sitting William is unlike any other hero, he s very go with the flow with an even temperament and no arrogance I really enjoyed reading this.

    15. Great Story This is one of my favorite Eva s books It is Meg, who has never been oved, her father has made certain she feels ugly William, the Golden boy, but is he truly How do people who believe they don t love each other, come to A Happy Ending Read it and see I highly recommend Thanks Enjoy
