Reviewed for Hearts On Fire ReviewsI admit I was really conflicted on parts of this story I am a big fan of historical romance, particularly m m historical romance So I was all set to love this To a point, I did Henry is a valet for the Earl of Wayshaw and is now responsible for the care of not only the Earl s brother, Rafe, but also Rafe s dogs, Pepe and Paolo As he is wrangling said dogs, he runs into a lovely man coming back from a hunt for rabbits, who finds his predicament with the dogs amu [...]

    2. A short historical novella about a lord and a valet falling in love We get the story from Henry s point of view alone He s getting older, and he need stable employment With Lord Rafe, however, Henry s duties include tending to his two dogs Pepe and Paolo while he hates dogs But they grow on him, just as Rafe s shy requests of tending to him at night But the morning after brings forth undeniable truths of how the two of them cannot be together. This is an erotic quickie The pace and the writing re [...]

Henry Simpkins, a valet at Taverslow knows perfectly well how to fulfil his duties to his masters But when handsome Rafe, his master s younger brother, asks him to provide some special services, Henry is baffled but he agrees As times goes by, their relationship gets deeper till they fall for each other But a real relationship between master and servant is not possible Is it Cute historical short story, set at the turn of the century, about two men from different worlds who happen to fall for ea [...]

    4. Original review on Molly LollyFour stars I enjoyed this book Henry was sensitive than he let on, and I hurt when he did with how he was treated Rafe seemed aloof until the car incident I liked how he reacted and showed his true feelings at that point I liked the ending the best I wasn t sure how it was all going to work out, but I m glad there was a happy ending I ve enjoyed this author s work immensely so far and I m planning on reading .

    5. This short work was lovely and sensual Although it was historical erotic romance, there were definitely a few liberties taken regarding the time period This seemed mostly in order to deliver a happy ending, so it didn t bother me much Readers wanting a genuine period piece may be disappointed.Although there wasn t a lot of depth, I found it both sweet and steamy, just right for a brief afternoon escape Very enjoyable.I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.4.5 star [...]

    7. Oh if only this book had been longer I wanted the delicious UST that only forbidden love in an historical can bring I had little problem with the words on the page but I wanted I wanted scenes leading up to Rafe s request I needed to see how they interacted between each bout in the bedroom A mere morsel when I wanted a three course meal.

    8. Sweet, Sexy, Short and just a little bit Steamy Overall I liked this book but I could have done with a little character development and a slightly longer story It was also a little too quick with the romance, given the different social statuses of the MC s.

    10. Far too short to allow any real character development, this short, short period romance is not entirely bad but it fails to make the reader understand why the two leads fall for each other.
